Waiting For Football

We’re all sitting around and waiting for the FAW Welsh Cup match between Dinas Powys and Ton Pentre to finally go ahead.

Bad weather has seen the clash postponed twice for a waterlogged pitch. As http://www.tonpentreafc.com reports, the First Round match will now be played at Ynys Park on Saturday 20th October.

That’s great news for the 1896BULLDOGS as we can provide the players with some of our noisy home support.

If anything, the break in football may very well have done us all a load of good as both the fans and players will come back for this Cup match full of energy.

Our lives of course, have not been completely without football as the Wales national team finally got going under Chris Coleman as they came from behind to dramatically beat Scotland 2-1 with Gareth Bale putting in a world class performance and scoring both goals.

Hopefully the feel good factor that victory brought can filter down through all of Welsh football and in particular the Rhondda Bulldogs, as we would love to have a Welsh Cup run this season!
